Technical note: Comments on previous technical notes

Abstract

This article includes comments, especially some historical perspectives, to the technical notes “Exact elements easily” [1] (Vol. 56, No. 4, 2023, pp. 199–204) and “Exact composite beam element easily” [2] (Vol. 57, No. 1, 2024, pp. 37–42) which have been published in this journal. One technical, or maybe it can be called scientific, comment is presented, dealing with the choices of degrees of freedoms of displacements and forces. It is given because if somebody is going to use the presented method for solving a new problem, then the comment should be considered.
